For our first challenge we thought we start easily and have a friendly
little sketch for you all to play along with. We were both regular
players of the weekly Waltzingmouse Sketch challenges as I'm sure many
of you were too so this is our little nod to the past as we start our
new challenge.
You can interpret the sketch in any way you like - a card, a scrapbook or journal page or whatever takes your fancy - you can go CAS, shabby-chic, cute and fun or whatever style suits your crafting. If you want to rotate the sketch that's fine too - as long as we can see the basis of the sketch in the final projects anything goes! All you have to do is include at least one image or sentiment from Waltzingmouse Stamps - that's our only rule - we're fans of Waltzingmouse and our challenge is all about their stamps.
And, if the fact that it's our first ever challenge wasn't reason enough for you to play along - Claire (owner of Waltzingmouse Stamps) has kindly offered us a prize code for our winner - we told you she was lovely ;-) So if you play along in this challenge you get the chance to add to your stash for free as we have a code that will get you £20 worth of goodies from the store!
Here's our DT inspiration to get you started:
Deborah:
For my first project I went with a floral theme using the new Simple Sprig mini stamp set and a sentiment from Big Day Today
For my second I went for a more masculine theme with my favourite set - Free Spirit Boy to create a background along with elements from North Shore, Sewing Box Hugs and the new Tying the Knot set
Tara:
For my first DT project there was only one way to go - Way Out West! The focal element is from Sheriff and all done in kraft to keep it masculine.
For my second card I went more feminine and used the new Funky Flowers set as my focal element and a couple of sentiments from Say It Loud to create my background panels.
For more details of what we did - pop on over to our personal blogs and say hello :-)
Now it's over to you - you have until 5pm GMT on Thursday 19th September to play along so hopefully plenty of time to get your stash out and get creative. We'll reveal the winners along with the new challenge at 8am on Saturday 21st September.
