You've still got time to play along in our first colour challenge - use a minimum of 3 of the colours above with your Waltzingmouse stamps and link up by 5pm (GMT) on Thursday 3rd October........
Firstly THANK YOU SO, SO MUCH for all the positive comments we've had since we started the challenge and for all your entries - 20 is not at all a bad number for the first challenge - let's see if we can beat it this time shall we? But before we give you the deets on that one, we need to award badges (and this time out prizes) to our first ever winners......
The overall winner and No1 Fan this time was Miriam Pranter with this interactive rocket card - we loved how the shape in the sketch was echoed by the route the rocket takes and the inked background is superb! Congrats on being our first ever winner Miriam.
Please take your winners badge for your blog and drop me an email at "craftilicious at rocketmail dot com" and I'll send you the code you need to access your £20 voucher at Waltzingmouse Stamps
It was very tough to choose our runners up - you all made some fabulous cards based on our sketch - but after much deliberation our top 3 for this challenge (in numerical order of entry) are :
Pauline - we really loved the creative use of feathers on this CAS design to form the shape in the sketch.
Kim - well who doesn't love a jar of eyeballs? Really creative use of the stamps here and it really caught our eye lol ;-)
Ang - we really loved the layered texture and subtle background colours with the bold pop of the gorgeous focal flowers.
Again - please take your badge for your blog - as well as showing off how great you are it helps spread the word about the challenge (particuarly if you link it up to the challenge site for which we'd be very grateful)
Challenge No 2
We're feeling hot, hot, hot today at Waltzingmouse Fanatics and have this super colour combo as our challenge this fortnight which we think is perfect as the seasons change and Autumn closes in. You don't have to use all 6 colours in your project but we do ask that you choose at least 3so we can see that the challenge inspired your project.
You can take these colours forward into any kind of project you like as long as you use a Waltzingmouse stamp or digi-file somewhere so let's see how creative you can be!
Here's a little inspiration from the two of us to get the creative juices flowing.....
Now it's over to you - you have until 5pm GMT on Thursday 3rd October
to play along so hopefully plenty of time to get your mojo pumping! We'll reveal the winners along with the new challenge at 8am
on Saturday 5th October.
You still have time to play along wtih our first ever challenge here at Waltzmingmouse Fanatics - the deadline is 5pm (GMT) on Thursday and don't forget there is a £20 store voucher up for grabs for our winner!
Here's the sketch to follow - just add Waltzingmouse stamps ;-)
For our first challenge we thought we start easily and have a friendly
little sketch for you all to play along with. We were both regular
players of the weekly Waltzingmouse Sketch challenges as I'm sure many
of you were too so this is our little nod to the past as we start our
new challenge.
You can interpret the sketch in any way you like - a card, a scrapbook or journal page or whatever takes your fancy - you can go CAS, shabby-chic, cute and fun or whatever style suits your crafting. If you want to rotate the sketch that's fine too - as long as we can see the basis of the sketch in the final projects anything goes! All you have to do is include at least one image or sentiment from Waltzingmouse Stamps - that's our only rule - we're fans of Waltzingmouse and our challenge is all about their stamps.
And, if the fact that it's our first ever challenge wasn't reason enough for you to play along - Claire (owner of Waltzingmouse Stamps) has kindly offered us a prize code for our winner - we told you she was lovely ;-) So if you play along in this challenge you get the chance to add to your stash for free as we have a code that will get you £20 worth of goodies from the store!
For my first DT project there was only one way to go - Way Out West! The focal element is from Sheriff and all done in kraft to keep it masculine.
For my second card I went more feminine and used the new Funky Flowers set as my focal element and a couple of sentiments from Say It Loud to create my background panels.
For more details of what we did - pop on over to our personal blogs and say hello :-)
Now it's over to you - you have until 5pm GMT on Thursday 19th September to play along so hopefully plenty of time to get your stash out and get creative. We'll reveal the winners along with the new challenge at 8am on Saturday 21st September.
