Challenge 28 - Anything Goes & Some News ....

Good morning all!  Before we get to the challenge details, we have some news to share.  Tara and I would like you to welcome Kathy (Cherwell Leys Alpacs) to the design team.  Like us, Kathy is a big Waltzingmouse Stamps fan, and she has been a regular player since the start of the challenge - often producing two or three cards at a time.  So do drop by and say Hi!  Tara sends her apologies for not getting round and commenting so much, she is still really busy at work.

Today is World Card Making Day - a day to spend at our favourite hobby - crafting and creating cards and objects of beauty.  We decided that we'd keep it easy - the theme is:

ANYTHING GOES

A quick reminder for all players - please remember this is a Waltzingmouse challenge, so you MUST include at least one stamp, sentiment or digi.

You have plenty of time to play along with our Anything Goes challenge.  Submission deadline is Thursday 16th October, 10.00pm BST (5.00pm EDT).  Have a fun weekend and we are all looking forward to seeing your projects.  Bye for now.

Challenge 27 - Winner

Oops!  This is a bit later than planned.  While we have only small numbers, the quality of the cards produced is amazing.  It did make it a bit tougher to pick our winner this week.  Without further ado, our No 1 Fan this week is:

No 1 Fan

We really love the soft colours, the lovely background
and that fab bunch of mistletoe!
Great work!

Sarah - don't forget to pick up your No 1 Fan badge and display it on your blog.

Come back tomorrow for our new challenge and some news!!!  See you then!

Happy Birthday to us!

Well - can you believe it - Waltzingmouse Fanatics Challenge is One Year Old TODAY!   That has to be cause for celebration right?

So let's start by celebrating our winners from the previous sketch challenge - our No1 Fan this time round was Anya with this bright and cheery thank you card.

Our runners up this time around were Elizabeta - we loved the wonderful background stamping she did, and Claire - who could have failed to love all the texture and richness the head mouse herself brought to our sketch?

Do take your winners badges from our winners page ladies!

CHALLENGE 26

So, time for our new challenge - we thought we'd make it easy with a theme of Birthday/Anniversary in honour of it being our 1st Anniversary Challenge.   So basically anything on that theme using Waltzingmouse product goes - easy peasy!!!!

We're adding to the fun by adding a Guest DT member Jeanne who is a big Waltzingmouse fan - just like us!!!  Jeanne, being a generous soul, is also offering a prize for the winner of this challenge so there are even more reasons to play along!  So do grab your Waltzingmouse stamps, papers, digi and play along with us!  Here's some inspiration to get you started:

Before we go, there is the small matter of picking a winner from the last challenge - we had 5 stonking entries - our followers are small in quantity but the quality of entries is always high!   We picked just one winner this time and our number one fan is therefore Claire A with her stunning colouring of her white embossed camelia with lots of lovely background texture to match.   Do take your winners badge for your blog Claire.

Challenge 24 - Make Your Mark

Hi!  Sorry we're a little late but the summer is a bit busy with holidays.  As we only had 2 entrants for last challenge, we didn't think it fair to pick a winner so we're declaring it a tie!  Please both go ahead and take your winners badges ladies.

We're back today with something a bit different - no colours, no sketch, but for the next couple of weeks we would like you to:

Make Your Mark
By that we mean use your markers - any variety of  paints, pens or colouring medium

Our only restriction is that you MUST use at least one Waltzingmouse image, sentiment or digi on your project.  If you don't have any stamps Claire has kindly provided a number of freebies here.  There are images, projects, cut files and a sentiment too.  Here are a couple of inspiration cards from Tara and I to get you going:
